Well it’s something that I thing everyone reading this blog post is going through right now, the essential self isolation to help stop the spread of Covid-19. We all know how bad this thing has got now so I don’t need to go in to details about the sad numbers of people infected and also losing their lives every day. Instead I’m here to share with you how I’m getting through the lockdown without going crazy!
It’s be a couple of weeks now for me and I’ve got a few things which I do everyday to keep me busy. I could write Netflix but I think that’s something we take for granted and don’t even need to mention. So here are are 3 things that are keeping me busy during the lockdown.
Cooking New Recipes
There’s never been a better time to learn new dishes to cook up because we have more time than ever. I’ve taken to looking on YouTube for simple but tasty recipes. Cooking is really therapeutic and you also get a real sense of achievement when you’ve cooked up a real treat for your household. I find the only difficult thing is getting food delivered, here in Thailand you have to wait at least 7 days for Tesco to drop off the food. It’s not all bad because you it gives you plenty of time to plan what you’re going to rustle up.
Working Out With Joe
Have you heard of the Body Coach aka Joe Wicks? He’s a guy from the UK who is basically taking the fitness/nutrition world by storm. Now we’re on lockdown he has taken it upon himself to be the UK’s PE teacher. So everyday at 9am he’s on YouTube leading a simple workout – it might be for kids but it’s good fun for adults too. I know there are plenty of other people doing the workouts too online.
Making The Place Spotless
Have you ever given your place a full on clean out? Where you empty every shelf and cupboard then clean it all down, it’s not a quick job at all. I did that to my condo last week, it took me all week because there are moe nooks and crannies to clear out than you first imagine. It is also a good opportunity to clear out all the unwanted items you have cluttering up your home.
How are you guys getting through the lockdown? What are your daily routines or what new things are you doing each day? I would love to hear what you guys are up to, all you have to do is pop your thoughts down in the comment section below. I’m sure we’re going to get some good ideas! Thanks for sharing guys, I’m looking forward to reading all of your comments.
